Expert of Iranian affairs Zhanna Vardanyan in Iranian Media

Zhanna Vardanyan, researcher and expert of Iranian affairs from “Orbeli” Analytical Research Center in Yerevan during her visit in Tehran attended roundtables and gave interviews to Iranian media (IRIB2, SNN). She explained the goals which Baku is pursuing of blocking Lachin corridor as well as the consequences of humanistic crisis of this action.

She noted the following points:

1-By blocking Lachin corridor Baku is trying to force the Armenian population of Artsakh to leave the region, the peace proposed by Baku is fake.

2- Anti-Armenian policy of Baku proves Artsakh has no future within Azerbaijan, fulfilling the right for self-determination of Armenians of Artsakh is essential in the settlement of the conflict.

3- Azerbaijan will not stop at Artsakh, Syunik, Yerevan and the north eastern regions of Iran are the next targets, Baku will be stopped by force only.

4-Armenia and Iran must deepen their cooperations in all spheres and confront the common threats.

The Armenian researcher had remarks on the Artsakh (Karabagh) dispute and the situation in Armenia and Artsakh as well.
